Megan Sue, my brindle Scottie Dog, loved her new home. She made friends with the neighbors' dogs, Zak, Tasha, and Max. She loved spending time in the backyard (yes it was fenced in when I bought it) visiting with her friends. She and Zak had a special relationship. They were in love.
She and I would drive around getting to know the area and going to the beach. She loved the beach! But she loved travelling more! There was undeveloped land all around our home. Me, Megan, and Billy Bob would go back in the woods to explore. They were off lead and could run and be free. As she and Zak got older, they would go on "senior" walks. They would walk two houses down and it would take 15 minutes. It got to the point where we would put Megan and Zak in a little red wagon for their daily walk. Megan was slowing down. My heart was slowly breaking, knowing one day she would no longer be by my side.
Two weeks before her 16th birthday, my survivor, Megan Sue the Flying Witch, crossed the rainbow bridge. She was still travelling, even on her last day.
